i agree, i really do love the atmosphere in this piece, there's a jealousy inducing sense of distance to this and i'm loving the colours you've used and the texture's, can't wait to see the whole thing
Well on modern TV with adaptive backlight they can reach very high brightness, and reach uncomfortable level, the idea was to boost the backlight for some specific light source on image, like the sun...
I just don't get it on why you most of your painting works call "rough". They just looks like actually painted - don't counting additional textures of course - and i'm glad about the fact, cause i'm not a big fan of art based mostly on textures, Photoshop effects or other renderer... And this is a very decent piece of work. Kinda Star Wars climate.
Glad you like it. I come from a 3d background, so anything that you can see brushstrokes I consider "rough", and finals are stuff like matte paintings or fully 3d scenes. It's just my way of classifying the work, rough does not refer to "not as good". So rough is just my way of saying "obviously painted" And yes, Star wars was a huge influence on all my work, so no doubt some of that made its way into this painting as well.
