Matte painting depicting the fleet's return at day's end to the homebase. These were the sorts of images I loved from the original star wars films, very moody, lots of atmospheric, harsh lighting. This is my homage to this sort of imagery.
Actually,my first thought was about this depicting Tattooine 1000 years after the classic trilogy, having become something similar to Coruscant as depicted in the new one.. Anyways GREAT work, also in catching that athmosphere-somehow.I think at a second glaze, this pic has its very own one and just similar looks. It feels desperate somehow,depressive..I donīt even know exactly what I mean myself.Just dayīs end,as the title says. Somehow I canīt stop imagining there wasnīt a single living being in all those ships and the buildings.
Oh, just to show the party "Ok, so this is what the planet looks like they you just landed on." Maybe make up something about how the architecture was designed to withstand high winds that sweep through this region in the winter months, forcing air traffic to a standstill. Possibly set the scene just before the winter arrives and have the place be a bustle of activity getting supplies ready, then throw in some space freighter accident that snarls traffic to raise tension. It's a good background setting to whatever the party was supposed to be doing on the planet.
